I am Laura & I struggle with focus. At least I used too, until I learned some valuable tools to use in my daily life that helped me focus well, achieve more than imagined, & increase productivity. Now I want to share those tools, so that you can build a well focused life you love. However, before that maybe you should get to know me.
First and foremost I am a wife and a mom of two busy teens, enough said right there. My son was diagnosed on the spectrum around age three and half, so to say that was a life changer would be an understatement. Balancing his needs, appointments, a career, and a life was exhausting. Luckily as a Registered Nurse & Professor I had insider knowledge to navigate the health care system, but most importantly I had a support system that absolutely encouraged me when I needed it most. Despite this new challenge I went on to tackle BIG projects like research, grant writing, program development & more with tremendous success.
Since my children are older, I have been through a million hobbies and interests before finally realizing I am “goal junkie”. I always seem to be looking for my next project tackle, place to visit, or even something new to learn. So this has led me to a place in life where I can finally say what I am passionate about – helping others realize their potential & reach their goals. So with that end in mind, I became a Certified Life Coach and am working on my second post grad certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. It was the perfect blend of my background in science and health, my experience with the mental health care system personal and professional, & a future focus on wellness.
